About Decathlon
Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer founded in 1976 in northern France. It sells equipment for many sports, notably under its own brands such as Quechua, Kipsta, Domyos or Kalenji.
The decathlon.fr site also runs a marketplace and, depending on the product, second-hand or refurbished gear.
Tips for Decathlon
- To try a new sport, compare the entry-level house brands before aiming at advanced equipment.
- Look at in-store pickup: trying on in person avoids a return.
- For shoes and technical clothing, check the size guide: sizes vary from one brand to another.
